Welcome to The Old Guard Kink Meme, the place to explore what badass immortals and their friends and foes get up to when they are not busy fighting (and sometimes what they get up to while they are fighting).

2. Prompts can be filled with fic or art - either is equally welcome.

3. Be civil. If a kink, prompt, or fill isn't to your liking, scroll and move on. No bashing, no insults. Wank will be shut down.

4. Any ship, any character constellation (including crossovers), any genre, any trope, any kink is welcome, with one exception: No sexual scenarios involving human/humanoid characters who are explicitly or implicitly stated to be under 14. Violations of this rule will be deleted.

5. Content warnings for prompts and fills, and NSFW warnings for art are welcome but not required. This is a kink meme. Explore at your own risk.

2. Fills go in the comments of the fills post. Fills can but don't need to be anonymous. In your fill, please mention the prompt you are responding to. Please use a header with your character(s)/pairing and a title and/or keyword or short phrase. (For example: "Just you and me: Andy/Quynh, Make-up sex" or "Between a Rock and A Hard Place: Nicky/Joe/Booker, first time DP"). It's now spring (at least for those living in the Northern Hemisphere), so that means it's a good time to do some cleaning up and clear up some prompts!

So, April 14-21 is a Fills-Only week again. The next prompt post won't open until Wednesday, April 21. Until then, the Kink Meme is not going to accept any new prompts (but you can save all your wonderful ideas for next week!).

To make sure that all the amazing yet unfilled prompts from previous posts don't get forgotten, we are using this week to boost old prompts again.

What does that mean? It means that you can use this week to browse all nine Prompt Posts and link prompts from previous posts in the comments here to give them a little boost. Is there that one prompt from Post #1 that you are still hoping will get filled? This is your chance to promote it here. In fanlore history, Femslash February was started as an open challenge calling on fandom members to create fanworks of any sort featuring a F/F ship in the month of February. Like in the original challenge post, we can all agree that F/F doesn't get enough love. Let's change that. In honor of promoting such F/F love, this Fill Fest's topic is focused on celebrating "Femslash February".

More specific to the Kink Meme calendar, it's also that time again: Three prompt posts have been filled with new and creative prompts, so the week of February 1 to February 11 is a designated Fill-Fest and Old-Prompt-Boost week again. The next prompt post won't open until Friday, February 12. Until then, the Kink Meme is not going to accept any new prompts.

In the comments on this post, boost your favorite femslash unfilled prompts - or recommend your favorite femslash fills - or ask for something new that you would like to see with our lovely female characters. I’d like to thank everyone who participated in the poll and/or discussion, we received a lot of great feedback.

Ultimately, 23 out of 29 people voted to keep everything the way that it is now. However, some interesting points were brought up, and there are some new ideas we’d like to introduce. Additionally, there are some things that we’d like to clarify.

First, we won’t be making content warnings in the headers mandatory, but we will highly encourage them. I think most everyone is familiar with AO3 content warning tags, so if you’re writing a prompt or a fill, please try to include warnings for: Underage, Incest, Bestiality, Non-Con, Dub-con, Gore or Major Character Death. Though I believe most prompters/writers do this anyway, we’d like to ask everyone to tag content you think falls under these categories when you think it's appropriate. Though, again, it isn't mandatory.

Second, please try and utilize The Old Guard Kink Meme Pinboard to filter through prompts and fills! Recently, we’ve added the !Gen tag and we’re working our way through properly tagging older entries.

Gen tag will include: Character or platonic-relationship driven plots/ anything not focused on kink and/or romantic/sexual relationships. However, this does not exclude possible triggers such as violence/gore, though we will be tagging those prompts/fills appropriately.

Third, if a fill or prompt contains something you find off-putting, i.e. a squick, it’s your responsibility to scroll away. If the prompt or fill contains a trigger for you that is outside the usual tagged warnings (see above), you must know when to stop reading. Ultimately, everyone is responsible for their own individual experiences on the kinkmeme. This is a community where every genre, trope or kink is welcome. Of course, with one exception:

No sexual scenarios involving human/humanoid characters who are explicitly or implicitly stated to be under 14. Characters under the age of 14 are considered prepubescent here and it falls under the definition of pedophilia (if that wasn’t clear). The Underage warning is for human/humanoid characters that fall within the age range of 14-18, so please tag it in your prompt/fill header, if applicable.

Fourth, although we are encouraging extra tagging and will be doing our best to update the Pinboard, please remember the rules! This is a kinkmeme. Explore at your own risk. AND No bashing, no insults. Wank will be shut down.

In the USA, the week of Thanksgiving is upon us, so despite this mod's complicated feelings about Thanksgiving more generally, let me just say that one thing I'm thankful for this year is the amazing creative and communal spirit all of you are bringing to The Old Guard Kink Meme.

However, we are continuing our newish tradition of using the Fills Week as an opportunity to boost old prompts, and thanks to the suggestion of one anon, this week's topic is "Mix and Match".

What does that mean? It means that you can use this week to browse all fifteen (!!!) Prompt Posts and link prompts from previous posts in the comments here to give them a little boost. However, this week the idea is to promote 2 (or more) prompts that you think go well together, and if you are so inclined, provide some suggestion or explanation for how you imagine these prompts might be combined in a way that preserves the spirit of each individual prompt.
