So I generally tend to ignore the idea of Nicky having been a priest because I don't like it, but. Let's say he was, and let's say that popular fanon is in fact correct and he's either a virgin or has extremely limited sexual experience when he meets Joe.

I’d love to see an exploration of old ideas about sexuality and character dynamics. Nicky assumes that you have to be gay in order to become undying- they both are, Andy, while occasionally interested in men, is distinctly ill suited to traditional family life and a “sexual invert” aka butch as shit, and from what she told them Quynh was much the same. All sorts of notions about gay warrior culture and shield brothers etc form his theory as to why they became immortal, how immortality gives them the freedom to be their true selves, how being attracted to women and starting a family isn’t part of their fate, etc. So when they find Booker, he’s shocked to discover he’s a happily married family man. Nicky takes it upon himself to try and help Booker see his “true” sexuality, whether through words or introductions or “direct action” is up to you.

Whether Booker is bi and does appreciate Nicky (and/or Joe)’s efforts, or if he’s tragically straight and up to you, but I’d love the messy uncomfortableness of Straight!Booker being told he’s gay and trying to make sense of that if you’re able to write that.

Just get real messy and weird with a millennia old gay couple trying to help an 18th century slightly enlightened Catholic come to terms with “his sexuality” when none of them have the vocabulary to express that.

The di Genova family thinks they hit a jackpot. They are wrong. Nicolò remembers and Nicolò will make sure they pay for what they did (either by actually doing something damaging to them or telling them to piss off, they’d get nothing)
