Joe/Nicky, early days, enemies to lovers but from Joe's perspective.
Date: 2020-09-25 11:17 pm (UTC)After the initial killings of the battlefield, when they learn they are immortal, Nicky believes it's destiny that they're meant to be together. But Joe? He's hates that they're dying together, he hates that they're stuck together, and he wants nothing to do with Nicky because of the atrocities committed. It's bad enough he can't die, but now he's tied to a *Catholic* who caused all the destruction in the first place. He hates everything about Nicky. At the same time, Nicky is following him around, dying of starvation, trying to atone, and Joe can only kill him/watch him die for so long. A true enemies to lovers fic!
- Bonus points for Nicky just... letting Joe kill him without a fight, over and over, which enrages Joe even more.
- More bonus points if Nicky keeps trying to give Joe gifts, and connect with him, and learn Arabic. Anything for Joe to talk to him, and not leave him scared and alone in their new immortal lives.
