Ok so there is a fantastic tumblr post that I just had to bring over to prompts.

Basically it calls for an AU where Nicky manages to evade capture at the church safe-house so its Joe and Booker taken in by Keane and his crew. And the speech still comes but instead of a sweeping talk of the love of his life its a grand speech about the familial love of a brother/platonic love of a best friend. A speech that has Booker realizing he's done fucked up.

Extras that would be neat:

Joe's a famous actor. Nicky's an Italian pop star that has broken into the american/british (depends on where the fic could be set?) market. He doesn't have the best reputation - always late to interviews, not the most talkative, etc...

Joe signs onto a dream movie he's always wanted to without knowing who he's going to be costaring with. He finds out that Nicky has been signed on, and is not particularly happy with the choice. A bratty Italian pop star who has no acting experience?? On Joe's dream project??? Not cool.

But Joe resolves to be civil and grit his teeth through the inevitable shitshow the movie set is going to be. However, Nicky turns up, and first day on set blows everyone away with his acting. He's also ridiculously lovely and sweet to everyone, from the director down to the PAs, and while at first Joe is not convinced, he soon comes to the realisation that Nicky is actually as amazing as he presents himself on set. And then it's a slippery slope to the next realisation that Joe might kind of be falling in love with his costar on set.

Joe is kidnapped, I'm not fussed one by whom or the circumstances, but they are definitely not kind to him, and Nicky obviously channels all his energy into getting Joe back. I'd like it to not be all from Joe's POV, but have some focus on how the team (esp Nicky) deals with it?

Some plot things I would love:
+ The kidnappers send pictures/videos of Joe's torture back to the team (for ransom, trying to smoke them out, just for sadistic reasons, I don't really care...)
+ The rest of the team understanding that Nicky needs to pour all his energy into finding Joe and planning his rescue, so they make sure he's taken care of - give him food, make sure he's never alone etc.
+ Nicky being absolutely focused and ruthless
+ Nicky getting to use his sniper skills
+ Joe is not psychologically unaffected by the torture, and there's some amount of healing and comfort after all the hurt.
+ Nicky finally allows himself to break down once they have Joe back (yes I want *some* Nicky hurt too, I guess)

+++ It's from Nile's POV. Nicky's ruthlessness almost scares her. Especially the way he barely even flinches at Joe's torture when they have new files sent to them, he's so focused on trying to find clues to where they are keeping him.
