This post remains open, however, for you to link fills or express your excitement over prompts you would like to see filled.
There are still many, many gorgeous prompts in this post that have not yet been written or drawn. For easier browsing, check out the Pinboard.
Remember:
Any characters, any ship, any trope, any kink are welcome (with the sole exception of sexual scenarios involving human(oid) characters under 14).
Each prompt gets a new comment directly under the post. Don't use threaded comments for new prompts. Only squee, encouragement, and links to fills go in the comments responding to individual prompts.
Prompts should be posted anonymously to make sure that everyone's prompts are treated equally.
Please use a header with your character(s)/pairing and a keyword or short phrase (For example: "Andy/Quynh, Make-up sex" or "Nicky/Joe/Booker, first time DP").

Nile & her family, acceptance
Date: 2021-01-18 12:54 am (UTC)It’s basically the opposite of what Booker warned Nile against—her mom is just so relieved to know that Nile is okay, and even more so that she has found such a great team and that she has so many years ahead of her. Basically, Mrs Freeman takes the whole team under her wing and becomes the team mom.

c) Mama Freeman kicking Booker’s ass but in a loving, sisterly kind of way, then helping him move past his profound grief (her husband, his family)
d) Nicky being a little uncomfortable because Mama talks about a thousand miles a minute in full blown, rapid American English and Nicky obviously adores her but he’s also a little intimidated, especially when they are both THE Cook 👨🏻🍳👩🏾🍳.
e) Mama knowing just what to do with Quynh when she returns to them, half crazy
f) Joe and Mama being outrageously loving and fun and brilliant just because I feel like Nile would be about 150% done with full love from both Mama and Yusuf at the same time because that’s just getting an absolute avalanche of loud and proud acceptance and love.
g) Baby Bro Freeman now having three awesome big bro figures
h) Mama Freeman does not trust Copley and has her eye on him. Copley has never been more terrified.
i) Inevitably, many years in the future as Nile’s mom ages, the team comes close and takes wonderful care of her even through her last days.
Or just like...all of the above.

Which hurts me to think about but maybe it would be nice for Andy to have a companion through those years and for the two of them to watch Nile learn and grow, to see her meld seamlessly with her new family and to know that she will be okay?

But Nile’s mom aging just hit me in a way. I work in community health and the massive racial disparities in healthcare can be really heartbreaking. And there’s so much women, and particularly Black women, do with so much strength to spend their whole lives working their asses off to give the people they love the very best they can. And a young widow in a tough neighborhood raising two kids?
That woman deserves to put her feet up as soon as she feels a need or desire to, and be treated like a goddamn goddess in her senior years.

Date: 2021-01-19 03:47 am (UTC)So, I do write fic for other fandoms but have yet to write for TOG. Mostly because my health, job, and single motherhood make me an unreliable updater at best, I so want to write this, but I also want to do it justice and not leave it half finished.
