Sometimes the rule leads to Booker carefully considering something he wants to try (in a good way) because he knows he’s going to experience it too. Sometimes the rule means he’s pushing Nicky or Joe a little further than they would go on their own.

Read a fic recently where Nile convinces the group to accept Booker back early despite the obviously sour feelings that Joe, Nicky and Andy still have, and Booker goes with them because ~loneliness~ despite knowing not everyone is happy having him back. Which obviously is good for no one in the long run.

What I want is kind of the opposite. Nile convinces the Old Guard to drop the exile thing and when they go to get Booker, he realizes that they actually do need time away from each other in order to heal and mend their relationships. Basically, I'm asking for struggling-with-depression Booker who has enough self-awareness to realize that although 100 years of exile is a bit excessive, they're a group of friends whose relationship needs space and time to heal.

+Booker picking himself up from his slump and either seeking help or developing healthy interests
++ Old Guard being taken aback and a little annoyed at first that Booker didn't come back with them, but realizing its for the best.

So here's a new spin on a classic: Yusuf has obviously been calling Nicolo 'habibi' for a while now (months-years, I'm not fussy). but refuses to tell him what it means. (Hey, it's a classic for a reason.)

BUT, they're travelling through a lot of Arabic-speaking places, and eventually Nicky hears other people using the word. He observes that they mostly use it for their children, one time a cute kitten, maybe one time when someone's husband or BFF is being a dumbass... etc. (Maybe this is his obliviousness, or missing the sweet moments because people are less demonstrative around strangers, bad luck, confirmation bias, whatever.)

So he correctly deduces that Joe is calling him 'sweetheart', but assumes it's in an inherently patronizing way. Tl;dr: Nicky comes to the conclusion that 'habibi' means 'my sweet summer child'.

If the author is more familiar with Arabic than I am (read: at all) and wants to substitute another appropriate term, feel free; I just landed on this one because the fandom discussion of how 'habibi' gets used a lot in a 'come at me bro' way in modern Arabic inspired this prompt.

All those incredible somnophilia prompts (and fills!!!) got me thinking: what if it's an established thing that sometimes when Joe is very deeply asleep and Nicky is horny, it's okay for Nicky to use his slumbering body for pleasure, and Joe's is so used to it that sometimes he barely wakes up or barely registers it. And then one time they're on a mission and Joe has just come back for a very hard day so he's bone-tired and sleeps even more deeply than usual, and he briefly wakes up to someone fondling him and his unconscious mind is just like 'oh it's just Nicky, this is fine' and he goes back to sleep.

n the morning he finds out Nicky didn't go to bed until much later, or maybe had to go take care of something mission-related at night and didn't come to bed at all. It's a very slowly dawning realization, Joe almost forgot it happened and then it takes him longer to put together the pieces and realize that wasn't Nicky. And he's not even sure what exactly happened, how far things went, how exactly he was touched. He's confused and unsure exactly how alarmed he should be, he can't even remember who else it could possibly have been, he's just so used to feeling safe when he sleeps that he didn't have any sense of self preservation to notice anything.

What happens, how does Joe deal, how do the rest of them find out, how does Nicky beat the shit out of who did it?

(I would personally prefer the perpetrator to not be Booker (or any of the rest of the old guard), maybe like a random hired gun or shady government man Copley's furnished them with instead. But if the potential author really has Booker or someone else in mind, who am I to stand in the way, follow your bliss.)

Prior to the events of ToG, the Immortal Fam realize that Booker being submissive, at times, helps him feel loved and connected to the family. Each Immortal is a different type of Dom for Booker, depending on what he needs.

For instance, Andy is the strict Dom who trains him/gives him rules when he needs grounding. Joe is the Dom who punishes him when he's done wrong (lovingly or not). Nicky is the soft Dom who cuddles and cares for him when he needs kindness (or Nicky subs alongside Booker so he doesn't feel alone, and Joe lovingly Doms both of them - either way). I'd love it if they had a cue, like Booker falling to his knees next to whoever he chooses to sub for when he feels he needs it. Nile can be a +1 scene as a Dom, too.

Note: it's not group sex (unless it's Joe/Nicky/Booker), but more one-on-one domming depending on his needs. The entire group can be aware or witness his subbing, though, because it's not like it's a secret.

Yusuf and Nicolò never killed each other, instead they became star-crossed lovers, eloped and spent the rest of their days living together like a married couple somewhere where their relationship was accepted. They even took in orphans and raised them like their own.

Through centuries, their love was an inspiration to artists: Shakespeare mentioned them in his plays, Renaissance artists painted them, they had poems written about them. There was of course a drive to discredit and disparage their love and relationship, paint them as nothing more than really good friends or even claim that one was a woman in disguise. They claimed that no way a Christian and a Muslim would have had this sort of relationship, unless one had converted the other. No way the people around them would let them live in peace.

But the evidence of their love was so overwhelming - letters in which Nicolò would refer to Yusuf as his husband, love poetry written by Yusuf, witnesses accounts, things written and passed on by their children and grandchildren - to the point that no one could possibly deny it now.

Basically, I’m looking for a fic with a modern take on them, be it via museum exhibition, people discussing this new film being made about them, historians arguing about some detail etc

Picture this: Yusuf and Nicolo meeting during the crusades and locked in a never ending duel with each other. The first few times they kill the other it’s with violence and hate, but soon it starts to evolve into something more. They lock eyes as Yusuf presses Nicolo against the rock formation behind him, his sword to Nicolo’s throat, tipping his chin up with the razor sharp edge of it. He kisses the other man just as a blade snakes up through his ribs and pierces his heart.

When they're breaking out, they have to find Nicky, as well. The finally find him in a room. He's naked and tied up, and there the blood splatter and semen dripping from him makes it obvious what he's been used for. (Maybe they see a guard coming out and fastening his trousers.)

Nicky fights his way out with the team, and it's not until they're at a safehouse afterwards that he actually breaks down about what happened.

All of the comfort from Joe (and possibly the rest of the team - except Booker, who Joe won't let near Nicky).
