Nick is assaulted and raped during a mission. Joe is in distress, falling apart but trying to be strong for Nicky, while Nicky is seemingly unmoved by what happened to him. He’s annoyed with Joe for bringing it up, fussing over him or looking at him with wet eyes. They start getting into fight which joe immediately concedes. They try to have sex and it’s Joe who can’t get through with this or ties to be too gentle in way that Nicky doesn’t want. Eventually Nicky exclaims in anger that he knew Joe’s going to be “like this” about what happened and that’s it’s not the first time. That it’s not even the second or third time but until now Nicky was lucky enough to have Joe not know and Nicky always manages to heal on his own.
