Usually Nicky's very understanding, easy going for all that he can be a little shit, and when people trip over themselves to talk to Joe, he gets it, really. While I love all of the prompts with the occasionally open relationship, where they have great communication and just trust each other, here's an alternative.

They've only ever been with each other. It's not that they weren't attracted to other people, it just wasn't enough to get them to go out of their way to have sex outside of their relationship.

Do what you will with this premise, but here are a few ideas:
- Nile or Booker finds this out and is shocked.
- What happens when one of them actually steps out for the first time.
- 5+1 historical figures they could have slept with, but didn't

During the first years of immortality, Nicolo does NOT deal well with it. There is a natural order to things and he can only see this as divine punishment for some great transgression he must have committed. He constantly tries the limits of his curse and often resorts to self-flagelation.

Yusuf spends that entire time talking him off the ledge - both metaphorically and literally - as he starts caring more and more for him.

Modern AU on this one!

Joe is teaching Nile how to drive, because Booker would be a little too wasted and Andy doesn't trust anyone with her car except her and Quynh so Joe takes Nile under her wing (she didn't have a lot of time to learn how to drive because of college and she always took the bus anyway so here she is at 24 learning how to drive)

So Joe is instructing her and Nile is cruising along when all of a sudden they hit someone. That someone being Nicky

+Joe being the caring, loving character he is gets out before Nile even stops the car to check on the guy who's sprawled out in the street

++Nicky is a little wound up but he assures the very handsome man with the beautiful face and lovely beard that he is fine, really, sorry for getting in the way but Nicky gets sent to the hospital anyway because he really does look kind of bad

+++The group go with Joe to visit Nicky in the hospital mostly because they want to tease Joe for still managing to get someone's number after hitting them with a car so they wanna see who the lucky guy was

So while Nicky is more quiet, he definitely is extremely protective of Joe, I mean we all saw how he lunges for Merrick when Merrick was stabbing Joe right?

So I wanna see a scenario where they're on a mission and the big bad guy is holding Joe hostage and Joe gets hurts

And the second Joe is hurt, Nicky is absolutely feral, trying to get the bad guys away from Joe and get Joe to safety and clings to him for days in end because while they are immortal, Nicky can't stand the thought of Joe being gone for even a second

Nicolo is very inexperienced in sex in the early days of their relationship, and he did not expect Yusuf to make so many..........sounds. More than once, he's alarmed that Yusuf is in pain because those are not natural noises.

Nicky and Joe get kidnapped on another mission and the kidnapper couldn't stand them giving each other heart eyes and sweet talk while holding them hostage so they tie Joe and Nicky up back to back

In the scene, Nicky was in the kitchen reading a book when the soldiers broke in. Say he gets caught off guard enough, and the soldiers pin him down and tie him to the chair- wrists to the arms of the chair, ankles to the legs of the chair so he can't move or fight back

+While Booker is trying to cover his tracks, he didn't think the soldiers would try to have their way with Nicky before taking him to Merrick. And Booker is stuck watching because his chair in the living room is angled towards the kitchen and he's slowly dying to cover his tracks

++The soldiers make Nicky suck their fingers and they hit him when he bites and one of the soldiers takes it further and gives Nicky a handjob

+++Joe breaks free of the soldiers momentarily and tries to get to Nicky, and Booker hates that they're screaming for each other, desparate and hopeful and crying in Italian, Arabic, a bunch of other languages Booker doesn't understand but they all mean the same thing

++++Joe is the one who's lead our first and Booker watches as the soldiers knock Nicky unconscious and carry him out like a sack of potatoes. Booker can't help his look of disgust when the soldier carrying Nicky thanks Booker for the bit of fun, squeezing Nicky's ass to get his point across but Booker can't do anything, considering he's about to die to cover his tracks

Nicky is always the calm one - except when he's pushed to extremes and is about to make an impulsive bad decision (such as singlehandedly trying to destroy an entire army for hurting a child) and Joe has to hold him back.

Thankfully that wild frisbee throw (courtesy of Andy because they have learned that Andy is very much a go big or go home person) catches Nicky's attention and he's suddenly kneeling next to Joe, carefully seeing to the damage his friend's carelessness caused

Booker has always been jealous if what Joe and Nicky have, and it's bred a twist of obsession in him. He gets the opportunity to take Joe away from it all, keeps him disoriented and barely sober, and spends weeks/months/years fucking him, convincing him he belongs to Booker, and only Booker.
