I am dying for the full extended van scene (possibly even their capture from the church): Joe first waking up, realizing where they are and starting to fear for Nicky not waking up. Before they meet up with the warrior pair from their dreams, Nicky and Joe are having a sexual relationship and are mostly cool with each other in what Nicky assumes is a friends with benefits kind of deal.

As they get closer and closer to Andy and Quynh, he realizes he acts loves Yusuf but doesn’t think his feelings are requited and has enough internalized heteronormativity that he expects the others will naturally fall into het couples with one of the women picking Joe and the other attaching herself to him. Maybe he can use the priesthood excuse to not hook up with either Quynh or Andy? He just expects that if -a woman who understands and shares his immortality are available Joe will automatically not want him anymore. Maybe Joe does instantly click with one of them and Nicky assumes he was right?

But of course he’s wrong, first that Quynh or Andy would want a man or even consider breaking up with her wife for some new guy, and second that Yusuf is with him only for convenience and isn’t also totally in love with Nicky.

Nile doesn’t rescue them, gets captured herself. They even get their hands on Quynh. Over the course of months (but no longer than a year and a half, even my love of angst has limits), since the experiments yield zero results, the tortures get worse and worse, and the immortals start dying, one by one. After Copley finally manages to get them out Booker is the only one left, the only one that survived. He’s truly is alone now.

Joe/Nicky Fairy Tale AU

Yusuf is a prince under a curse, forbidden to leave his enchanted palace because of reasons. Nicolo, wandering on his own after having deserted from the Crusades, stumbles on said enchanted palace and seeks shelter for the night. When he learns of Yusuf’s plight, he embarks on a quest to free him (and thereby win his hand).

+ Incorporate whatever and as many fairy tale elements as you want, and a blend of stuff from European and Arab folklore would be *chef’s kiss*.

++I’d love it if the other immortals are involved, either keeping Joe company in the palace or helping Nicky on his quest.

+++Joe is not passive in his captivity—he can’t leave the palace, but he does anything and everything else he can to help Nicky.

Joe/Nicky/Joe, past or alternate reality Joe ends up in canon era

Inspired by the clone prompt, but with less philosophical implications - for handwavey reasons, a second Joe appears! Could be from the past, or from an alternate dimension. Either way, canon Nicky and Joe have never had a threesome because they only have eyes for each other - but a second Joe could certainly be accommodated. Basically Nicky having the time of his life getting ravished by two Joes.

Bonus points if other!Joe has a significantly different look, perhaps Marwan in Wolf-esque? And even more bonus points if afterwards Nicky is keen on finding other!Nicky to return the favour and give Joe the same experience.

I really like that in the comics Joe and Nicky aren't European Indie Movie Star hot. Joe is thicc but he's a shorty and Nicky looks kind of jaunted to me?

Nicky and Joe aghast that they stand in the presence of THE ENEMY but there’s an angel, also, and he seem cool. Andy doesn’t care, I guess, she’s been a god once so, technically speaking, she’s outranks them. Booker cries and is drunk but that’s typical for him in any circumstance. Nile was done even before Lucifer started flirting with her.

But honestly just anything in that crossover but extra brownie points for Amenadiel referring to either Joe or Nicky as “your husband” to the other one with zero drama and them having so many feelings about this.
