Remember that video of the guy waking up post-surgery and temporarily not remembering his wife (if not, here: https://youtu.be/adecieraxeA)? Yeah, so, Joe gets amnesia because reasons, is very confused about everything happening to him including the fact that the most beautiful man he’s ever laid eyes on is apparently his husband of 900+ years.

+Nicky is conflicted, Joe not knowing him or their whole shared history is weird and sad but Joe flirting with him like it’s the first time is weirdly delightful.

++Joe gets his memory back completely after a while.

I like this so much! (Especially if they all are pretty sure that his memory will come back, so the others can enjoy teasing Nicky for having a romantic goof of a husband.)

Ok there was a fic based exactly on this premise I’ve read a couple of weeks ago BUT I enjoyed it so much I’d like to read another fill.

And that one has Nicky getting amnesia rather than Joe, which is different for "immediately hitting on Nicky" purposes.

No it was a funny one-shot with Joe getting drugged, forgetting Nicky and then hitting on him.

Summary: Everything was going smoothly until some assholes shot Joe and when he was getting back up, injected him with something that put him out for good, falling back to the floor like a sack of potatoes.

(I know you know that old post about a guy coming out of surgery or something and under the effects of the anesthesia, he started flirting with his wife not remembering she was his wife. This is my take, sorry not sorry)
