I love this so much. Them both looking out for Nile as she brings their little, broken* families together because Nile is everything. ❤️

But Nile’s mom aging just hit me in a way. I work in community health and the massive racial disparities in healthcare can be really heartbreaking. And there’s so much women, and particularly Black women, do with so much strength to spend their whole lives working their asses off to give the people they love the very best they can. And a young widow in a tough neighborhood raising two kids?
That woman deserves to put her feet up as soon as she feels a need or desire to, and be treated like a goddamn goddess in her senior years.
