Keane didn't know the full extent of everything. Merrick told him that these people were dangerous. Terrorists, maybe. He was just doing his job.

Maybe he was left paralyzed and not murdered by Joe? Maybe he's immortal now and has to work on redemption like Booker? Maybe the group is a bit more understanding because Merrick was a manipulative dick and it was "just business" (it's really Kozak and Merrick they had an issue with).

Whatever the reason, Keane is eventually, with lots of conversation and therapy, he's brought into the group. He's respectful of the whole thing and very apologetic around what he had been made to do.

Bonus if Keane and his husband? Partner? had kids.

Super bonus of the husband is also badass and likes hanging out with the group.

(look, I know Keane is a bad guy, but c'mon)
