Nicky is either alpha or omega, who’s always been mating with people with secondary gender opposite to him. It’s never been satisfying though. He’s been told how taking a knot/knotting is suppose to be a near divine experience and it’s nice, sure but it’s not nice. It just is. He meets Joe who’s the same secondary gender as him and they hit it off. Nicky realises he’s in love with him, but that cannot be, alphas don’t fall in love with other alphas/omegas don’t fall in love with other omegas. Except they do and he just did.
When him and Joe finally make love, Nicky understands what people mean when they say that sex is suppose to feel like out of this world.
