Either the Old Guard listens to Booker and doesn't retrieve Nile, or Nile keeps walking after refusing to help Andy with Copley and doesn't realize they've been captured.

All four of the original Old Guard are now in Merrick's clutches with no outside hope of rescue.

- Whether Nile has met them or not influences whether she dreams them enough to help Quynh rescue them 6 months later when she shows back up. BUT Quynh may also have an interest in letting them suffer a bit longer. Up to the author if they get out with help or on their own at some point (I don't see this as a "captured forever" thing necessarily, but "captured for a long time" definitely.)

++ Booker getting a long, LONG time one-on-one with the family he just betrayed, with all the awkwardness that implies.

During his exile Booker starts spiralling, self-punishing himself by participating in more and more riské and degrading sexual practices.

Eventually he ends up getting fucked by a dog, in front of the audience, an experience that in his mind should be the most degrading thing that could ever happened to him - therefore the most fitting punishment - but he ends up loving it. Before he betrayed the team, Booker would sometimes join Joe and Nicky in bed. Nicky likes being dp'ed and Booker was the obvious choice to join them. He wasn't part of their relationship, this was purely sex. They are not in love with him, but do love him like a brother.

After Booker gets brought back into the fold early, he expects everything to remain the same. The first time Booker reaches out for Nicky, Joe grabs his wrist and pulls him away.

They tell him there is no way they are about to trust him in their bed any more. What he did means he will never be welcome to lie with them again.

This doesn't end with them forgiving him, but him realising exactly what he screwed up and having to live with it.

(Also, I like your choice of "inwardness" to characterize Nicky: he doesn't strike me as shy, but inward, yes. It maybe fits with his being a sniper. ANYWAY.)

One of the team has to go undercover as a sub to get close to the Bad Guy the team are trying to take down. It ends up being Nicky because Nicky fits this guy's type perfectly (and also, because OP loves seeing Nicky in that situation XD).

Problem is, this guy is into heavy degradation and humiliation, and Nicky will have to take it if the team have any chance of getting close enough to stop him.

Joe and Andy go in to the club as a Dom couple (maybe with Booker as their sub), and Andy and Booker spend the time stopping Joe from punching out the bad guy for how he's treating Nicky. (He knows he can't, but it's *Nicky* he's watching being put through everything and that's hard for him to accept.)

The bad guy enjoys passing Nicky around to his friends, degradation like watersports (drinking or piss enemas), maybe even animals.

Nicolò and Yusuf are travelling together but still don’t speak each other languages and are semi-hostile to each other. At one point they have hate sex and Yusuf ends up fucking Nicolò. Meanwhile Yusuf regrets what he did, he should have never left Nicolò on his own, and maybe Andy and quynh find him and tell him that nickys pregnant? He/they need to find him!

Happy ending where the family reunites.

To stop a bad guy, Nicky goes undercover in the most unassuming way (picking target up at a bar, seducing at a gala, etc.) and builds a relationship with him over a couple of weeks before the team can strike. It puts a strain on his relationship with Joe (who is jealous, worried about Nicky or both) but Nicky does not express the same level of concern because he is focused on getting the job done. Cut to the day when the team are finally about to take the guy down and he reveals that he has known the whole time (maybe he greets them all through Nicky's mic/earpiece or something?) and then proceeds to rape him, threatening to kill him if the team try anything, and they can't risk it because otherwise he'll find out Nicky is immortal.

+1000 if you find a way to make it a surveillance cam instead so they can all see what is happening to nicky

Nile stays in touch with Booker after he goes into exile and suggests that maybe he would find getting into art helpful and relaxing. He thinks it’s a stupid idea at first, but, well. It kind of beats wallowing in his guilt or drinking himself into a stupor, and it gives him an excuse to keep talking to Nile.

They have drawing sessions over Zoom, and other times Nile will give him a challenge, like he has to draw a fond memory, or paint in a particular style, and then he’ll send his work through the mail to whatever safehouse the team is at (Nile keeps all his art pieces like a proud parent).

After a while he realised that he’s, well. Maybe not happy, but he’s doing a lot better.

That fill was great and that scene especially haha
