Andy and Quynh were the only two immortals in existence until they started dreaming of two men on opposite sides of the same war

Once they meet, there are obvious hurdles to overcome like language barriers but Andy and Quynh can see the two men are slowly coming around to being together and starting to love each other

-Andy is often translating between the two so they can talk and she translates the more raunchy flirting with the straightest face ever

-Quynh sends them off to scout together and teases them mercilessly (like she straight up asks Joe if he thinks Nicky is a vision of God and all that and she laughs at his blushing)

Now that Andy is mortal, she experienced normal things that people feel because eh no longer has the immortality healing it for her before she could feel anything

So Joe and Nicky still kill each other in the crusades but never got together. When they each wake up from the first kill they see each other so they don’t dream of eachother after. Joe eventually meets up with Andy & Quynh and somehow Andy & Quynh passingly meet Nicky without realizing so their dreams stop without them being able to find Nicky but they know he is somewhere out there. Same thing happens with booker in that he meets Nicky but never realizes. As a result the rest of the team is all together but Nicky is left out on his own. Nicky becomes a mercenary as well and does good deeds where ever he can. The team is sorta aware of this other mercenary but don’t connect it to the immortal that they couldn’t find.

Nicky is an omega and has a heat. When omegas go into heat they can die if they don’t have someone there to see them through it. Nicky has died many times from his heat. He’s tried using alpha for hire services to see him through but hates them as the alphas he gets are inconsiderate jackasses that only see to their own pleasure without any care for Nicky and can also be abusive. Frankly, dying seems preferable to him as it’s not like it’s permanent. He now has a system where he has a hidden place with a timed lock that he locks himself into during his heats so enemies can’t get to him and where he attempts to ride his heat out on his own with toys but still often dies from not having an alpha to see to him.

The team somehow catches wind that this other mercenary doesn’t stay dead and seek to find him realizing that it’s the immortal they never found. Nicky realizes that he’s being hunted and does his best to shake them. Only his heat is coming up so after setting up some sort of diversion he goes to his hidden nest.

The team does not fall for his diversion as he thought but has followed to his hiding place.

Nicky has set the timer on the lock but is waiting to close it until he has all his supplies such as food and a delivery of sex toys to see him through his heat. He buys them in bulk as it’s cheaper so he gets a bunch of everything in the pack: vibrators, dildos, cock rings, sex swing, lubes, bunch of different restraints, etc. he doesn’t intend to use some of the toys ex the restraints, swing, etc since he’s doing his heat solo but they are included.

Joe goes into Nickys hiding place to scout ahead of the team while Nicky is out picking up the supplies. Nicky comes back and closes the door locking himself in until the timer runs out. Joe is also inside unbeknownst to Nicky.

Nicky realizes that there’s a strange alpha armed for war in his nest and panics. In his panic he ends up killing Joe. He doesn’t realize Joe is immortal so sorta just shoves the body in a closet until he can take care of it. Nickys heat begins and joe comes back to life. He’s in the closet and finds all the sex toys that nicky wasn’t planning on using, including the restraints. He catches nickys scent and realizes that Nicky is in heat and plans on riding it out alone. Joe is horrified as he is well aware that omegas in heat that are not taken care of can die from it and fervently believes that omegas should be treasured and protected during a heat.

Nicky is having difficulty seeing to himself and dies. Joe comes over and restrains Nicky to the bed while he is dead and radios his team to explain the situation. And hey! He has these really nifty padded restraints that were in the closet that he can use so nicky won’t be hurt by metal handcuffs.

Nicky wakes and joe scolds and confronts him about riding his heat out alone. Nicky is confused as he remembers killing this man. Also, this strange alpha looks like the guy that originally killed him in the crusades. Cue realization that there are other immortals. Nicky thinks he’s screwed because he’s restrained and at the mercy of what he thinks is an enemy during his heat. He expects to either be raped and abused during this heat or left on his own tied up on the bed to die over and over as his heat is not taken care of while this alpha stays to enjoy his suffering.

Joe instead goes to town on taking care of this idiot of an omega. He feeds him, makes sure he stays hydrated, and just sees to nickys every need so that he can get through the heat without suffering and dying.

Nicky is being driven crazy by this alphas scent during his heat. He’s still expecting to be abused but consents to joe fucking him so he doesn’t have to die so much. Joe then proceeds to give Nicky orgasm after orgasm. Joe experiments to see what Nicky responds best to sexually and just generally enjoys giving this omega all the orgasms.

Nicky/Joe Modern AU + Nicky Being Followed By A Creep

Modern AU inspired by a few of the prompts on the part 2 page basically Andy, Quynh, Booker, Nile and Joe are on vacation and they keep running into this Italian guy (Nicky) a few times that they tease Joe about

-Joe is absolutely smitten with the guy, and they can see Nicky is definitely taken with Joe as well but they don't stay in the same areas as him for too long

-After the third time, Quynh voices that she thinks it's destiny or a really lame joke but everyone brushes it off. Nile thinks it's adorable how Joe greets Nicky as if they've known each other forever each time despite being total stranger's

-Andy is dragging them all through a bunch of side streets cuz she really wants baklava and notices Joe's cute Italian guy in the same area. They say hi again, make a few jokes and go on their way.

-Later when they're all ambling around the food district looking for a place to have dinner, Booker jabs Joe and points out across the street that oh, look it's your Italian guy; then they notice that Nicky does not see that he's being followed

-Joe jogs across the street to Nicky and Nicky is startled because oh it's the handsome stranger I've seen a million times today but then Joe just slings an arm around him and steers Nicky towards his friends, who all automatically act like they were waiting for him before deciding on dinner

-They settle on a place and explain to Nicky he was being followed and they hang out with him and walk him home afterwards because despite obviously having fun with them, Nicky is pretty shaken up by the idea that some random creep was following him around all day and he didn't notice

All the Guard somehow get captured, all of them, Booker and Niles included, but it’s silly to think someone like Merrick doesn’t have some shady government backing of some sort, who in turn quickly see what an asset it would be having living and unkillable weapons at your command. So after they let Merrick take all the samples he wants from the Old Guard, they swoop in and snatch the immortals up. (Think shady deep-secret Winter Soldier level stuff).

The Guard quickly prove how unstoppable they are, going on missions for their new masters and hating every moment. How are they controlled and willingly come back without being forced? Love. They won’t leave their family behind, if a team is sent out, one or two are kept back at base, locked up. Joe and Nicky are never allowed out at the same time on missions, guaranteeing they always come back. Andy is an army of one, but she won’t leave any of her family behind, their all supper protective of each other. And their handlers use this to control them, reward them and or punish them.

I apologise but I read the word “suitor” in the previous prompt and my brain just immediately jumped to “suitors? Suitors for Nicky? Yes, yes, Nicky needs suitors! Multiple ones!”

So Nicolo leaves the priesthood and journeys to Jerusalem to idk, rediscover himself or God. He’s a bit sad but Jerusalem is beautiful and there are no religious wars in this verse because I said so.

As soon as he arrives and settles he gets multiple suitors knocking on his door, fighting for his affection and a hand in marriage. Maybe he also moved cos Genoa was a bit “no thank you” on the gays but Jerusalem is like San Francisco circa 1980s?

And he’s flattered and overwhelmed and showered with gifts but then there’s Yusuf: the merchant and poet and artist that Nicolo sometimes buys stuff from and no, he doesn’t court Nicolò because why would he, Nicolò has much richer and powerful men fighting for his affection? Why would he ever notice Yusuf? Don’t fight wars you know you can’t win.

Spoiler alert: he does, in fact, win.
