Nicky secretly wishes to be an omega, as he dreams of being pregnant with Joe's child, though he "knows" he'd be less useful to the team and weaker.
When he does change into an omega, he feels terribly guilty, wondering if he somehow willed it to happen and favored his fantasy over being a strenght for his family.
Cue the others having to show him that contrary to what society thinks, being an omega doesn't make him weak and that he is more than ever an asset to the team.
