After their truce, they start traveling around together. Joe makes friends easily, and easily get lovers in any town and city they visit. Nicky is coming to terms with his sexuality, but takes care of not falling in bed with Joe because he doesn't want to be just another one of his many conquests.

Booker tries out every new drug and goes through periods of addiction. When something new (make up something fun) hits the market he dives right in. Either he's in an established relationship with Nile or she's just concerned as a friend. She basically can't change his mind about the drugs but she can at least be around sober and look out for him. This can lead to anything from soothing him though a bad trip to a smut setup.

Joe teaches art in a high school, and he's involved in helping out the queer students who have troubles at home. He's appalled to discover the new social worker is Nicky, who was part of a gang of bullies that made queer people lives miserable when they were in high school.
(Nicky didn't actively bully anyone, but was in the gang. His older brother was the bully-in-chief)

Joe loves decorating Nicky's everything with henna. It's one of the few (only?) ways he can leave marks (it's not a wound, so it doesn't heal, it just fades over time as it does for "normal" people), and Nicky is of course already a work of art but this gives him a chance to pay attention to every scrap of skin.

(Does he use traditional North African patterns? Has he expanded his visual vocabulary as they travel? Does he superstitiously include blessings or protective sigils? Is sitting still for Joe to work how Nicky learned the kind of patience it takes to be a sniper?)

One of them is dyslexic but has never been diagnosed, he's just been considered dumb from both professors and family. He now has a manual job and a good life, although he has self esteem issues.
The other one is a teacher of some kind, and when they start dating he notices the learning issue, but it takes him some time to convince his beloved he's not stupid.

Joe gets shrunk to the point where one of Nicky's fingers fits inside perfectly, just on the edge of being too big, exactly like Joe likes it, and Nicky fingerfucks him.

PS: Obviously Nicky made sure his nails are short for this.

Somehow there are multiple Nickys. To decide who gets to fuck Joe, they tie him to a spinning chair (Joe's knees on the seat, his hands tied behind his back) and spin him around. The Nicky whose blessed with the sight of Joe's ass gets to play with him for a minute or two before Joe is spinned again.

The Nickys take on different roles, one sweet, one condescending, one impatient etc. Maybe two Nickys end up arguing over who gets to have Joe one round so they end up sharing him.

Masina DiGenova is a retired teacher that runs her own unofficial afterschool club; underprivileged kids from the neighbourhood come to her house to have a snack and get some help with homework, some stay for dinner, some take showers and do laundry because they don't have hot water/washing machines at home. She really makes a difference for them, especially the queer teens, to whom she talks a lot about her wonderful grandson Nicky.
One day she breaks her hip or something, and Nicky moves in with her to take care of her, and he finds himself putting a lot of work for the kids, helping them with homework, repairing bikes, teaching them to cook and other life skills etc. After a couple of months tho someone in the neighbourhood get pissy about a gay man spending lots of time with children and teens, and calls for the authorities to check the situation. There comes Joe, the social worker (or whatever would be his role) sent to check Nicky as a potential pedophile grooming the local youth...

-Nicky has some sort of remote, flexible hours job (translator? CAD designer? ) so he's still working
- Grandma DiGenova is a local institution in the neighbourhood, and more than a few adult own their graduation or career start to her

Joe and Nicky are a couple of mortals, very happy in their committed, long term relationship.
Then Nicky dies suddenly, and Joe is left completely distraught. After a time of absolute despair, a serie of little things here and there convince him that his Nicky is watching over him from the afterlife; Joe commits himself to live a good life, to reassure his guardian-angel-Nicky, and to earn himself a place in the paradise that Nicky clearly deserved, to be reunited. A few short years later Joe dies as well... when he wakes up again, there is a group of people that welcomes him as family... and he's finally reunited to fellow immortal Nicky!
-Nicky was initially a couple of years older than Joe, who now will eternally look a little older than him (but the age difference is minimal)
-Joe does NOT kill himself for missing Nicky

Joe is a poet by heart. But back in the 16th century he and Nicky were in London where they met a certain playwright. Of course they became friends and Joe and Will used to talk a lot about their texts and ideas and all that. And then Joe and Nicky moved on.

Cut, a few years later. Shakespeare is dead already. Joe and Nicky go to a theater to watch one of his plays. And right in the middle of it Joe jumps up and starts yelling at the actors. Nicky drags him out and asks him what's up... turns out that a few of Shakespeare's most famous lines were actually from Joe and the Bard "stole" them.

And now, every time someone mentions Shakespeare and his genius, it drives Joe up the wall because the "little thief" gets all the credit for Joe's words :D

Joe is pretty sure Nicky's daemon is the most adorable, the kindest, warmest daemon in the world.

So it must be a giant cosmic mistake that this daemon belongs to someone like Nicky -aka his new nemesis-.

Joe and Nicky are dating, but Nicky is hiding it from his family. Joe pressures him to come out, but when Nicky does, his family send him to a conversion camp. Joe and Nicky lose contact.
Some years later they meet again, but Nicky doesn't seem to remember Joe anymore.

Five times Joe (alpha) hated that Nicky is an omega:
Maybe he hates that it makes him feel responsible for that invader, maybe he hates the assumption they are a couple. Maybe he resents how people treat Nicky, or the problem is Nicky using his gender for dangerous missions.

Can be close to canon (so canon with only the omaga verse aspect added) or in a more different AU!

Teen Joe and Nicky hang out platonically for a while. In fact, one of them is trying to date the other, but they're too shy/subtle to make it clear, and the other is confused and think maybe he's projecting his attraction ? In any case, nothing happens, not even a kiss.
Several years later they end up in the same group of friends. Their friends notice they like each other, and Nile suggest they try dating. So one of them goes "Oh we already tried, didn't work out" and the other one is absolutely flabbergasted to discover he had been given a chance years prior.

+If you want to make them previously friends with benefits, it's cool too.

A society where omegas are the ones in power.

Omega prince Joe "collects" beautiful Alphas. He doesn't view them as subhuman or make them do things they don't want to do or anything. He just likes having them around and look pretty, liven up the place with their scent and demeanor. Has a collection of all sizes, colors, genders that he likes to have around, mingle and socialize with. He essentially wants them to be live works of art and in return for staying with him and following a couple of rules, Joe gives them food and shelter, treats them well (they can always leave if they want to, but in that case, Joe would like to paint them before saying goodbye). There are many Alphas who want to be part of his collection, see it as a sign of prestige.

And then there's Alpha Nicky. A foreigner, who has no idea what's happening when he suddenly gets picked by an enraptured Joe for his beauty. He follows along because he has nowhere else to go, but he's pretty sure that he's about to become a pleasure slave? Nicky tries to adapt to his new life and the idea that he's seemingly required to give away his body in return. Doesn't know how to react when he hears that Joe doesn't actually ever sleep with his Alphas. One part of him is relieved because it does all feel a bit weird and patronizing. Another part of him is disappointed because Joe is lovely, vibrant, kind and warm. But he has no hopes of becoming the one Alpha that Joe falls in love with, doesn't understand why Joe picked him in the first place.

Little does he know that Joe very much does start to have romantic feelings for Nicky, feelings he has never felt for an Alpha before. But he doesn't want Nicky to get uncomfortable or leave.

Joe and Nicky have just gotten together and are about to have sex for the first time. They've seen each other naked before -- during baths, while changing, in the locker room (if a modern AU), whatever -- and Nicky's flaccid cock is average-to-small. The idea came while reading about the child crusades and thinking about how the "age of consent" concept has been wildly different over the ages.
So:
Nicky died young and therefore has not aged at all over the centuries.
-he died between 16 and 18 years old, any younger would make me very uncomfortable.
- he is as old or older then Joe in years lived
-when they start dating the fact that they are both men is more of a problem then the "age gap". This changes over the years.
Bonus: -booker having a really hard time with seeing Nicky as older then him
- Nicky being frustrated with modern times seeing him as a child

Nicky's father walked out when Nicky was a teenager, ditching Nicky and Nicky's mom to marry a much younger woman and start a new family. With his new young wife, Nicky's dad has a couple of small kids, Nicky's half-siblings. However, even into his 20s Nicky absolutely HATES his dad for walking out and wants nothing to do with his half-siblings. He's not actively mean to the children of course, he just has no desire to get to know the siblings who "replaced" him.

Enter Joe, who gets hired as the kids' nanny/caretaker, basically his day job that lets him pursue his art career on the side. The kids absolutely ADORE Joe, who's sunny and hilarious and draws cool pictures and turns homework and chores into a fun game. Joe is vaguely aware his charges have an older half-brother who refuses to come around. Nicky's dad has also told Joe a very skewed version of events, that Nicky was always angry, entitled, ungrateful, etc.

Circumstances (maybe Nicky ends up needing a room for financial reasons? or they have a mutual friend who introduces them?) cause Joe and Nicky to meet in person for the first time, and they initially aren't inclined to like each other AT ALL. Nicky despises Joe for "sucking up" to his hated father, and Joe thinks Nicky is heartless and unappreciative of his family.

There's just one little complication: they're also VERY physically attracted to each other.

After Joe's romantic speech in the van, the mercenaries take turns raping him.

Bonus points:

- special attention is given to make Nicky watch and seethe and go rabid while he can't do a thing. Maybe Nicky's POV, fading in and out of consciousness as he's killed again and again
- brutal rape, both when it comes to the damage done to Joe and his lack of arousal

The losers break into the facility where the guard are being held/experimented on looking for Max or information om Max but find the guard instead.

So you know the concept of playfully fighting and whoever wins tops the loser? Take this but it's the the loser that has to top. Basically both Joe and Nicky really enjoy being a pillow princess but they can't both bottom. So sometimes they fight (wrestling, fencing, throwing furniture at each other, ...) and whoever loses has to top the winner. Maybe the loser is held down and the winner rides him or once one of them admits defeat they get into service top mode. No preference who wins. Extra bonus points if they are very sweaty and/or bloody from all that fighting. I'd also appreciate it if they engage in some playful roleplay with the top pretending to be trembling for his life if he can't please the bottom.

Joe and Nicky are together, but they have a fight and Nicky calls for a break. Joe thinks it's over, and he sleeps with someone else. Nicky finds out, and he's distraught over it, considers the relationship over and thinks Joe has moved on. They eventually make up some time later (weeks, months, even years if you want)

Yusuf however is an incurable romantic and inexperienced because he's never found "the one" (plus the time period issue).
