Young Nicolo di Genova has just inherited all of his incredibly wealthy family's land, money, and resources (death of a parent? Left to him by a distant relative? Taking over the family business? Dealer's choice). The first thing he does is become patron to older starving artist Yusuf Al-Kaysani. He doesn't understand why it's raising so many eyebrows; he has money, Yusuf has talent, this is a perfectly normal arrangement. Is Yusuf nearly twice his age?
