When Nicky was in his late teens/early 20s, he was swept off his feet by an older (thinking 30s - 40s) wealthy man, and married him. Now Nicky’s hitting 30 himself and his dashing older husband is shamelessly cheating with barely legal men, complaining that Nicky has “let himself go” (read: aged like a standard human being), and lording his money over him.
Frustrated and lonely, Nicky decides to start his own affair. He meets Joe (coworker? personal trainer? artist at the local gallery?) and they start hooking up, and the sex is brain-meltingly good. Not only that, Joe makes him feel cherished and loved in a way his husband hasn’t in years.
