Nicky and Nile get taken by bad guys, who know they're immortal. The bad guys start making comments about taking Nile out of the cage they've got the two of them in and 'showing her a good time.'
In order to get them to leave Nile alone, Nicky says that surely they'd rather have him. After all, he's got centuries of experience behind him and he can make it good for them.
They take Nicky out of the cage and Horrible Things (tm) happen.
When the rescue happens, Nile feels guilty because Nicky did that to save her, and Nicky feels guilty because it feels like he cheated on Joe. And then all of the comfort.
