As far as the dream sequence goes, I feel you can write absolutely anything you want. It’s a dream so no laws of physics, biology, decency or morality apply.
As for reaction I don’t think Nicky could be angry at Joe, definitely trying to reassure him. But you know, Ive seen fics where if read the description and think “I don’t think this could happen” and then I’d read it and turns out the author managed to make it believable.
On the other hand, it has the potential for extra angst. I can see him feeling insecure. Questioning if maybe Joe wants to see him getting fucked by another man? Worrying about him getting bored? Which of course makes Joe feel even worse.
I’m trying to say, you can do whatever you want with this, I’m sure it’ll be great.
