Set post 9/11, in current times or closer to 2001 when things were even more fraught. Nicky reacts to Joe getting pulled aside for a rough "random" body search by airport security.

To be clear, the kink for me is seeing Nicky react to his best beloved being put through with this new but same old political atmosphere some 900 years after he was first sent to wipe out the Muslims in the first place, and also seeing how he and Joe deal with it. I'd love to see the gang dreaming about Keane coming back, the discussion about rescuing the new bb!immortal, but especially the tension between Keane, Nicky and Joe when he's inescapably brought into the fold.

Later one of the guards sees how quiet Nicky is once more after Joe comes back

With them ziptied and chained, the guard is like "Looks like you really are a mouse" and tries to get a ride out of Joe by force kissing Nicky in front of him

They're not cruel about it, they're actually quite apologetic for giving him the wrong idea. And Booker pretends that he isn't hurt - but he's never felt so alone before.

Keane wants to ambush them by himself, no need to risk the lives of his men. He'll just let them pick him up at a bar and take him to their hotel room, where he'll easily subdue the both of them and take them to Merrick's lab.

Except that the sex is exceptionally good and by the time they're done, Keane's priorities have shifted from "kidnapping" to "let's do this again as many times as possible, please".

Basically Booker doesn’t understand the concept of same sex relationship.

He understand that sometimes two desperate men can help each other out but they are both very attractive, they can get women. And because none of them is “acting gay” as in has effeminate mannerism, then that means they aren’t gay. He doesn’t understand how two men can be IN LOVE with one another. And he definitely doesn’t understand how one of them can let the other take him and enjoy it - actually physically enjoy it.

Booker isn’t na asshole to them or about it, at least, not on purpose, he’s completely and legitimately clueless and trying to figure things out, reconcile what he’s been taught and believes with what he sees in front of his eyes.

Booker and Nicky are captured during a mission, and their captors tell Booker that if he doesn't rape Nicky then all the men holding them captive will. Booker is threatened into it, and thinks that if the men hurt Nicky then they'll realize he heals too fast, and then they'll be in even more danger. He goes along with it, but hurting a scared blind-folded Nicky completely breaks his heart.

I'm as into the painful recovery angst as I am into the heartbreak of the assault, so please go with it as far as you want!

+Nicky doesn't realize it's Booker at first, and when he does he starts to cry.
+ Nicky being a total disoriented mess after the assault, and Joe comforting Nicky and realizing something Bad happened even before Nicky tells him.
+ I thought the guilt from this might eat at Booker and play into his decision to betray the team, but if you'd like to set this post-movie after Booker is back with the team, that's totally cool
