Joe is a stuendt in a college. And one day he meets a handsome guy, a freshman, with kind eyes and a cute mole at his chin. He's immediately smitten and the guy, Nicky, seems to like him, too. They start dating and it goes well. But Nicky never talks about his family. When Joe asks him, he always says they're in Italy and that's it. He only ever mentions his nonna sometimes, but never his father or his brothers.
Half a year or so in the relationship, Joe notices that he's being followed. It's subtle, but sometimes he sees guys watching him. Him and Nicky. And one day he snaps, goes to one of them and asks them why they follow them. Of course they tell him they don't but when Joe insist, they arrest him and bring him to a police station.
Turns out, the guys watching them are cops. They tell him that Nicky's dad is the boss of a dangerous Mafia clan. They're after Nicky's family and think that he's involoved in the "family business", too... after all, Joe had seen Nicky go to a range sometimes and he knows he's a damn good sniper...
+ Joe has a problem at one point and it miraculously disappears + the shooting calms Nicky when he's churned up + his family sent Nicky away because he's gay and a shame to his family + the cops try to hire Joe to find out more about Nicky's family. Joe tells them to fuck off!
