Love this! Love Joe's increasing desperation and then how the damn just breaks (as it were) once they're able to fuck again. And both Nicky and Joe being sappy and missing one another when they weren't having sex, even though they still, presumably, were always together. Also, I love the "little deaths" line and that definitely needs to be used more in The Old Guard fic.
