There's a lot of Nicky whump here, and I am definitely not complaining in the least, but I would love to see some more Joe whump?
Joe is kidnapped, I'm not fussed one by whom or the circumstances, but they are definitely not kind to him, and Nicky obviously channels all his energy into getting Joe back. I'd like it to not be all from Joe's POV, but have some focus on how the team (esp Nicky) deals with it?
Some plot things I would love: + The kidnappers send pictures/videos of Joe's torture back to the team (for ransom, trying to smoke them out, just for sadistic reasons, I don't really care...) + The rest of the team understanding that Nicky needs to pour all his energy into finding Joe and planning his rescue, so they make sure he's taken care of - give him food, make sure he's never alone etc. + Nicky being absolutely focused and ruthless + Nicky getting to use his sniper skills + Joe is not psychologically unaffected by the torture, and there's some amount of healing and comfort after all the hurt. + Nicky finally allows himself to break down once they have Joe back (yes I want *some* Nicky hurt too, I guess)
+++ It's from Nile's POV. Nicky's ruthlessness almost scares her. Especially the way he barely even flinches at Joe's torture when they have new files sent to them, he's so focused on trying to find clues to where they are keeping him.
