It didn't take too long for Joe and Nicky to go from enemies to tentative friends...but to go from friends to lovers took forever mainly because they're both oblivious to the fact that they're 'together'. Like they sleep spooning every night, they share chaste kisses on the forehead, use endearments to one another, and soft touches between them aren't uncommon. They find this not strange and just natural between such close friends. So they pretty much function like a couple all but in name?

+ Andy and Quynh finally meets them, assumes they're already lovers and is completely thrown a curve-ball when they insist they're just friends.
+++ They both don't even realize they're pining for another? They're just that oblivious.
+++++++++++++++ While I'm a sucker for angst, I would prefer if they have a completely chill response to it. Like Nicky going "Yusuf? Can I ask you a question?" "Sure, Habibi." "Andrea says we're together? Are we together?" A pause and Joe is nonchalant about it, "I guess so." And that's that because it makes too much sense with what they have together. Maybe they put a ring to it at some point?

Epilogue scene: Nothing really changed afterwards, they're still disgustingly sweet to one another. Andy and Quynh makes a plan to get them to get together...only for Nicky and Joe to be like "We're married."
