Starts the same as prompt above, but goes much darker

Joe/Nicky are a bonded alpha/omega pair (alpha!Joe and omega!Nicky)

Back when they bonded, male omegas weren't common, but they weren't rare, either, so no one thought anything of Joe and Nicky being together and of Nicky being a male omega.

Jump to today, and male omegas are *rare*. It not unheard of for people to go their entire lives without ever meeting one. It means that, for some alphas, having a male omega is seen as the ultimate status symbol.

Nicky got fed up of how people treated him as a male omega, so started suppressing, and now people think he's a beta.

When they're in Merrick's lab, his suppressants wear off, and Merrick realises that Nicky is an omega.

Merrick thinks about keeping Nicky for himself, because he wants the status of walking into parties with a male omega on his arm, but decides that he'd rather have the huge amount of money he can get from selling Nicky to the highest bidder.

When Nile comes for the team, she gets the rest of them out, but Nicky's already been sold and is on his way to whoever bought him.

Cue the team trying to track down who has him, while the alpha that bought him is trying to break Nicky down into being the perfect, docile omega.

Nick is assaulted and raped during a mission. Joe is in distress, falling apart but trying to be strong for Nicky, while Nicky is seemingly unmoved by what happened to him. He’s annoyed with Joe for bringing it up, fussing over him or looking at him with wet eyes. They start getting into fight which joe immediately concedes. They try to have sex and it’s Joe who can’t get through with this or ties to be too gentle in way that Nicky doesn’t want.
Eventually Nicky exclaims in anger that he knew Joe’s going to be “like this” about what happened and that’s it’s not the first time. That it’s not even the second or third time but until now Nicky was lucky enough to have Joe not know and Nicky always manages to heal on his own.

Alpha!Booker and Omega!Nicky have been pining for each other for years but trying to hide their feelings from one another and the whole group (and Nicky using suppressants for heats, pretending to be a beta maybe and also maybe Andy is the only one who knows that he's an omega) until one unexpected heat while he is outside (at a party/bar) then Booker finds him, realizes Nicky is an unbonded omega, and all their feelings pour out. Booker takes Nicky home so from there, angst turns to smut and fluff. Nicky ends up being Booker's mate.

Bonus: Booker being protective and dominant at the party/bar when other alphas try to flirt with Nicky

Joe and Nicky were close friends with Shakespeare, and probably inspired a few of his characters and romantic stories. Nicky and Willian got along extremely well, and though Joe and William bonded over their similarities (their love of poetry, dudes, and being fashionable), Joe was a bit distant because he couldn't help but notice William falling for Nicky. Him and Nicky sometimes take lovers, so he's not afraid of Nicky leaving him for Shakespeare, but he's still not keen on another dude who is extremely gifted with words, always looking like he's lovesick around Nicky.

Joe somehow gets it in his head that the best way to deter William is to seduce him. He goes all-out to show William that *he* knows how to be the most romantic, best poet, best lover. Kind of in a "show Shakespeare what he's up against" way. It devolves into passionate bodice-ripper sex.

Plot twist, Shakespeare's actually had heart-eyes for Joe, and Joe just rocked his world. Joe gets many sonnets written about him. Nicky just laughs when Joe explains what happened, and is all "How did you miss Will being in love with you??" and Nicky and Joe end up having to stay in London for years, cause Joe accidentally has acquired a new beau.

Nicky is the only omega on a team of alphas. He's bonded to Joe, and when he's in heat, it's only Joe he's with. But, he also helps the rest of the team out with their alpha ruts. Injuries can be caused during heats/ruts, and they can't risk someone seeing them heal and reveal their secret, so the only option for an omega is Nicky.

It's worked for centuries, but Booker is now exiled, and his rut is coming up.

Joe doesn't want Nicky to help Booker as it's still too close to Merrick, and Joe can't forgive Booker for being the reason Nicky was tortured. But Nicky knows they can't let Booker go through this alone, and they can't risk him going to another omega, who could find out his secret.

They agree the Nicky will help, but Joe insists on being in the room with them. (Joe doesn't normally watch when Nicky helps the others out.)

Exactly what it says on the tin. They canonically fought on the guerrilas in the Cuban Revolution! I want to know what that was like.

It didn't take too long for Joe and Nicky to go from enemies to tentative friends...but to go from friends to lovers took forever mainly because they're both oblivious to the fact that they're 'together'. Like they sleep spooning every night, they share chaste kisses on the forehead, use endearments to one another, and soft touches between them aren't uncommon. They find this not strange and just natural between such close friends. So they pretty much function like a couple all but in name?

+ Andy and Quynh finally meets them, assumes they're already lovers and is completely thrown a curve-ball when they insist they're just friends.
+++ They both don't even realize they're pining for another? They're just that oblivious.
+++++++++++++++ While I'm a sucker for angst, I would prefer if they have a completely chill response to it. Like Nicky going "Yusuf? Can I ask you a question?" "Sure, Habibi." "Andrea says we're together? Are we together?" A pause and Joe is nonchalant about it, "I guess so." And that's that because it makes too much sense with what they have together. Maybe they put a ring to it at some point?

Epilogue scene: Nothing really changed afterwards, they're still disgustingly sweet to one another. Andy and Quynh makes a plan to get them to get together...only for Nicky and Joe to be like "We're married."

Thousands of years ago, mirrors weren't exactly common. After centuries without being around their family or original people and only catching occasional blurry or distorted reflections of themselves in glass or water, Andy and Quynh aren't entirely sure what they look like anymore. (Knowing that you take after your mother doesn't mean much when you can't remember her face.) Cue deciding to describe each other, from the color of their eyes to the shape of their mouths, and just getting progressively gayer about it as they go.

Surely there have been stretches of times - months, sometimes even years - where the work was sparing and the group had chances to settle down for a while. Nothing fancy, nothing too attention-grabbing; just a nice little place in a big city where they could live like regular, totally anonymous people.

I'd love to read about Joe and Nicky during these periods, what kind of slow life they lead. Maybe they're with the others, maybe not. Maybe Joe does some merchant work again; maybe he spends his days writing and drawing. Maybe Nicky takes up new hobbies; maybe he just wants to spend as much time as possible cuddled up against Joe enjoying the quiet.

+1 if Nicky picks up baking
+10 if it's set at some point after a war/major conflict and they're both dealing with fresh trauma
+100 if Joe comes home one day with a stray cat that followed him from the markets and he can't just kick them aside, habibi, look at those precious little ears! How could you possibly turn him away, you fiend?

I'd give my left tit for a fic where a future version of Nile travels back in time and endows the team with their immortality. Go hard with the sci-fi or make it as hand-wavey as you want; I would just love a stable time loop where Nile is the reason why everyone had the chance to meet. Bonus points for her actually interacting with the younger versions of the team and one of them (maybe Booker?) vaguely remembering her.

Slight sleeping beauty element to the whole immortal thing. So when each immortal becomes immortal, they fall into a deep sleep

Joe wakes Nicky up with true Love's kiss so they can be immortal together forever

Regular movie verse, Kozak starts examining Nicky and Joe as they are brought into the lab and discovers Nicky is pregnant. The foetus is fully viable and is a couple of weeks old. Nicky and Joe are in absolute shock and refuse to believe it because WTF???? How did that baby got in there (I mean...)? Couple weeks old but Nicky died so is the baby immortal like them? How long has this baby even really been in there for, maybe it’s been “a couple weeks old” for 10 years now and is growing very slowly or maybe it’s been conceived a couple days prior and it’s growing faster. Was it even conceived or is it a case of some weird case or parthenogenesis (yes Nicky is male, they don’t have degrees in biology... Ok they probably do) or a straight up immaculate conception. Why now?? And later: Does it have anything to do with Andy’s immortality growing away? Booker’s betrayal? Nile?

Imagine all then questions they could have. What are the answers I leave it up to the Kind Writer.

I need this so badly it hurts. Just. Yes. Someone PLEASE.
