But. Nicolo is thirty. He's been a priest for at least ten, maybe twelve years. He has taken probably tens of thousands of confessions, and there is, seriously, nothing that can shock him anymore. He's familiar with the bizarre, horny, and even depraved fantasies of half of Genoa; virgin, yes - blushing, no.
Yusuf knows Nicolo used to be a priest, and he knows he's never really gotten around, and he himself has, let's say, a moderate amount of experience, he's slept with, like, two or three whole people, so when things get romantic between them and then start to heat up, he assumes he's going to have to ease Nicolo in slowly. (They've been travelling/living together long enough for him to know that Christians have... strange ideas about sex. And literally everything else.) And while he's trying to figure out the best way to explain that he wants to try [very basic sexual activity] together, Nicolo's like, 'Oh, I get it, you want to [CENSORED] my [CENSORED] with your [CENSORED]. Well, I assume you know what you're doing, so all right, but we should definitely bathe first.'
And Yusuf is trying not to blush, but not succeeding because he didn't? know? that people? did that???
I didn't have specific sexual activities in mind when this occurred to me, although having given it some thought I do think it would work well with intercrural sex and rimming, respectively. It doesn't have to be that, though - and they don't have to do either of the things they talk about, they can find middle ground instead if you like. Don't feel the need to get too out there - I'm always a fan of things that seem ordinary these days being ~scandalous~ to people in other periods.

Nicolo is maybe kind of surprised at how different actual sex is from the idea of sex.
