Early on after their tentative truce, Joe and Nicky are traveling together. Joe assumes Nicky is ignoring him because he doesn't speak Arabic or was just being rude because he still views Joe as an enemy... either way, he has yet to hear Nicky respond to anything he's said so far. Little did he know, Nicky is actually mute.

+ Nicky makes no attempt to explain that's he can't speak which doesn't help with the misunderstanding. He just thought Joe already knew.

AU. After the war Joe returns home with his husband Nicky and a big bag of Deal With It.

Omega Booker gets into heat when he’s being held captive in the lab and Keane, being the strongest alpha there, claims him as his. Booker is not unwilling, he’s in heat, being filled and knotted is the only thing he can think about.
Can be Keane going rouge or Kozak treating this as an experiment.

Once in a while, Nicky's sexual appetite is almost insatiable and his recovery time is extremely quick.

Maybe it's after they've been seperated for a while, or Joe does something especially sexy, or its still the early (relatively) stages of their relationship and Nicky still gets insecure/jealous/a little possessive.

Whatever the reason, Joe is filled over and over again. Covered, leaking. Enthusiasm is matched by Joe but he gets tired and sleepy sooner. And by the time the sun's early rays appear, Nicky is on his own. So to speak.

I read a great fill where Nicky comes back with a vagina and there are sexy times.

I'd love a fill where Nicky comes back with a vagina and just has a really bad reaction to losing something integral to his body and sense of self and doesn't want Joe touching him and deals really badly, and it brings up all sorts of issues about God punishing him, about his masculinity.

But then comes a point where he realises it may be temporary, he'll return to his normal, that Joe will love him no matter what.

And sexytimes.

This fandom is really interested in proper research and accuracy, and that is the absolute coolest.

However, consider: Joe and Nicky are on opposing sides of a war, and they fall in love. Where are all the bodice-ripper clichés? Sneaking over to see each other in the dead of night? Tension-laden conversations in conveniently deserted locations? Crazy hot forbidden sex? Lying to their comrades that there's nothing between them? Running away together?

I would give my left arm for a relationship reveal fic in this scenario.

(Would also be totally down for their families being involved, although that I'd prefer to be idk a respectful portrayal? Also down for modern AU if that works better)

OP here to add: Nothing is more harlequin romance than the secretly married trope

and for the secretly married trope, I would give both my left and right arms.

Ten years ago Nicolò was unceremoniously shipped out from Genoa by his family, to be married to a foreign prince of some unmapped (by them) country in exchange for some very minor political or economical gain. Its not like Nicolò was worth much more anyway. They never thought about him again tho they joked that his husband (a heathen and a barbarian) would probably beat him to death or sell him for a camel. Who cares, it’s just Nicolò. They told him as much.

10-15 years later a very wealthy and powerful foreign prince from a VERY wealthy and powerful country arrives in Genoa. The di Genova family is drooling at the prospect of charming the prince and singing exclusive trading contracts with him. That prince is Yusuf and his husband is (plot twist) Nicolò. At Yusuf’s side, Nicolò, who was always a shy and timid creature buried in books, grew into a strong, independent, smart and thoughtful man. On top of that Yusuf is so clearly and openly in love with him, that all women in Genoa start asking their husbands why do they never get treated “like that”.

The di Genova family thinks they hit a jackpot. They are wrong. Nicolò remembers and Nicolò will make sure they pay for what they did (either by actually doing something damaging to them or telling them to piss off, they’d get nothing)

(Bonus but an absolutely bonus that doesn’t have to be a part of this at all: they don’t recognise Nicolò at first and try sucking up to him)
