Once they get over the immediate trauma of their captivity, this piece of information opens up a whole range of possibilities they had long since given up on hoping for.
Over the next few years, whichever of them always secretly wanted to have children finally do, with their teammates happily helping out as surrogates/sperm donors as necessary. Don’t care who decides to have kids and who doesn’t (though I would think Booker would be keen on the possibility), I just want the Guard raising a gaggle of little immortal children together
