Merrick decides to play a little game with the immortals. He separates Joe and Nicky- leaves Joe in the labs and Nicky gets buried alive somewhere in London

If Keane finds Nicky, then Nicky stays with Merrick to be a lab rat for the rest of his life
+There is a timer- Merrick set it for 24 hours. He also cheated and gave Keane clues (not the outright location but still he's a little rat bastard)
++The team and Keane get there at the same time- Andy, and Booker are holding Keane off while Nile helps Joe with unburying Nicky
+++Lots of comfort from the team after they get to a safehouse- Joe keeps Nicky on bedrest and cuddles him, Nile shows off how she's learning Italian and Andy buys baklava on her own and eats it with Nicky and guesses where it's from to make him smile and Booker is slower to coming around but he doesn't get exiled
