According to the movie, they keep dreaming about each other until they meet. It's unlikely the dreams fade, at least not much, how would Andy and Quynh ever have found Joe and Nicky?

If that holds water(sorry), it means Booker has been dreaming about Quynh drowning every night for 200+ years and she has been dreaming about him. Did this contribute to the choices he made along the way? Did Quynh somehow affect him through the dreams? Did he affect her? Is he (and maybe Nile?) the reason Quynh seems relatively sane when she shows up?

(I have no idea if this is adressed in the comics, I haven't read them.)
