Post-movie, Joe and Nicky don't really talk to the others about what they went through in the lab. It's not the worst thing that's happened to them physically and it didn't last that long, all things considered. Plus, Nile shouldn't have more trauma about her life, and Andy's dealing with Booker's betrayal and her new mortality.
And it's fine. Nicky and Joe lean on each other and talk it out and deal with any nightmares. It's all quite healthy, really, though it's a slow process.
Then the team encounters Kozak again, and she taunts them with all the terrible things she did to them and how she'll be sure to separate them this time like she'd promised, etc. etc.
